After several years working in commercial litigation in London, Donald moved to Wales where he pursued his interests in projects involving land and intellectual property. He co-founded Darwin Gray in 2002, bringing his expertise and skills in a number of specialist areas to the new firm.
Known for his hardworking and level-headed personality, Donald led both the Commercial Property and Intellectual Property teams for many years, acting on complex development projects with a focus on regeneration.
Since 1 April 2021, Donald now acts as a consultant for the firm, continuing to offer his renowned expertise and experience to deliver high-quality work for clients.
He thrives on making complicated legal issues manageable across a number of specialised areas, including the Welsh mining industry, coal authority licensing, and environmental issues.
In his spare time, Donald embraces photography as a creative outlet, and takes to the great outdoors on the weekends no matter the weather.
