Property Dispute – New Commercial Development Given the ‘Go-Ahead’

Background

A large property developer was preparing for an exciting new commercial development of a historic building in South Wales. The large multi-unit building was occupied by various tenants with varying rights of occupation and some had protection under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. The client needed vacant possession of the entire site to allow for the redevelopment to proceed.

Our support

Our Dispute Resolution team served various notices to quit and notices pursuant to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. We advised on tactics, court proceedings, surrender agreements and secured vacant possession of the whole site.

Outcomes

We were able to ensure that the project got successfully underway without issue.
