Emily is an associate solicitor specialising in corporate and commercial law. She offers comprehensive legal support to businesses spanning various sectors. Her expertise lies in drafting intricate commercial contracts and providing guidance on corporate governance; catering to businesses of all sizes.

She brings extensive experience in handling corporate transactions, navigating deals valued up to £8m. This encompasses business disposals, private equity investments, management buyouts and assisting companies to become employee-owned.

Her skill set extends to reviewing and drafting a wide range of commercial documents, including shareholders’ agreements, terms and conditions, confidentiality agreements and franchise agreements.

Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree in Legal Practice from Cardiff University.

  • Acted for a local company in its £3,000,000 buy-back of shares from its founding shareholders.
  • Acted for selling shareholders on their sale of a refurbishment and decorating specialist company based in Cardiff to a large building maintenance contractor.
  • Assisted a leading medical technology company in its equity investment package of £700,000 from the Development Bank of Wales and a further £300,000 from private investors. The investment was important for the client to fund its rapid expansion plans.
  • Supported KWL Architects, one of the UK’s leading care sector architects, in its transition into an Employee Ownership Trust.
  • Acted for the founder of a UK medical supply company in its sale to a leading healthcare services provider. The transaction had various complexities, including a restructuring and hive-out of assets.
  • Advised a national educational charity on a joint project with other charities, including drafting a collaboration agreement for a research and development project.
  • Advised and formed a group company structure for a national design and sculpture company.
