Earlier this year the owners, Abbé and Stuart Vaughan, who established the business 13 years ago, sold the business to one of their staff members Jodie Mae Smithen, who had been working for them since she was 16 years old, when she started as a Saturday girl.
Darwin Gray’s corporate, property and employment teams advised Abbé and Stuart on the legal aspects of the sale of their business to Jodie.
Stephen Thompson, partner and head of corporate at Darwin Gray, said:
“We were delighted to be able to help Abbé and Stuart sell their business and realise the benefit of all of their hard work. We have been working with them since they started this business 13 years ago”.
Abbé Vaughan said:
“It’s so important when you are running a fast moving business to have the right professionals around you. Since our inception Darwin Gray have been at our side providing key support on lease negotiations and property issues. The HR support facility they provide has been of infinite use and moreover incredibly professional. It is so pleasing to be able to use key professionals like Darwin Gray from start to finish.”
