A Quick Guide to Website Privacy Policies

November 25, 2021

By Emily Shingler

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulations, when you are processing personal data, you must tell people what you are doing with it. It is best practice to have this written down in a document called a ‘privacy notice.’

A website privacy policy sets out the purpose of data collection on your website, the types of information collected and the scope and limitation of data processing on your website. Such a policy will reassure online customers and/or users and will also aim to make your business compliant with the UK’s privacy laws.

Download a copy of our Quick Guide here which explains more website privacy policies for your business.
