Kate graduated in French and German from the University of Exeter in 2008, having spent a year in France teaching in two schools as part of her studies. Kate went on to undertake the Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of the West of England and the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff Law School, where she obtained a distinction.

Following completion of the LPC in 2010, Kate worked as a Paralegal for a commercial law firm in Newport, before joining Darwin Gray as a Trainee Solicitor in January 2012. Upon qualification as a solicitor in January 2014, Kate joined the Dispute Resolution and Social Housing teams and was promoted to Associate in April 2017.

Kate acts for a wide range of clients, including corporate clients and individuals on a broad range of commercial, contractual, insolvency and property related disputes in the County Court and High Court and in mediations.

Kate also advises Social Housing landlords on housing management matters and anti-social behaviour cases; regularly dealing with possession and demotion claims and civil injunction applications. Kate regularly appears in the County Court on their behalf.

Kate is also an active member of The Association of Women in Property, a national organisation that seeks to enhance the profile of women in the construction and property sectors. Kate joined the South Wales branch as a committee member in 2013 and in March 2014 she took up the role of Secretary. She remains in this post following recurrent re-election.

Personal Interests

In her spare time, Kate enjoys spending time with family and friends and whenever possible, she likes to travel.
