Catherine qualified in Ireland in 2002, after which she specialised in property law, gaining valuable experience in commercial property at the height of Ireland’s ‘Celtic Tiger’ economy. During this time, she advised foreign, national and local companies on the acquisition financing, and disposal of business property which included industrial, retail, agricultural, and development land.
Catherine also undertakes landlord and tenant work, with a particular emphasis on the drafting, negotiation, and renewal of commercial leases for premises as diverse as pubs and petrol stations.
Catherine joined Darwin Gray in 2007 following her move to Cardiff and with us she has continued to act on behalf of SMEs in terms of their business property requirements. She has gained further expertise in secured lending and in the property elements of insolvency work. She also acts for pension trustees and members in SIPP purchases, both on an individual and syndicated basis.
Catherine regularly attends and participates in events with the South Wales branch of Women in Property.
