Our experts Owen John and Joanna Adams will walk you through a real-life case study highlighting best practice in handling disciplinary and grievance issues.

They will also explore some of the most difficult issues which arise during a disciplinary and grievance process and will identify practical tips for tackling those issues.

 

Issues covered include:

• When can you resolve issue informally and avoid a formal process?

• When must you hold an investigation and when can you skip straight to a disciplinary process?

• How to conduct a disciplinary or grievance hearing?

• How to decide what disciplinary sanction to impose?

• How to deal with sickness absence during a disciplinary or grievance process?

• How to best deal with appeals?
